INSIDE MYSELF
You made me look inside myself
and wonder what was really there

You made me stop and think a while
down deep inside and wonder where

This life of mine became obscure
and left me wanting more and more

Not knowing how to gain my needs
for always I have tried to please

The other people all about
and now I feel that I must shout

Let go of me please set me
free this life I have I'll live for me

So thanks for seeing more than they
remember this sometime someday

That in your life you can be sure
this time you made a dream secure,

FUTURE MEMORIES
If sometime in the future your mind
should rest on me
And wonder what my life is now
or what my fate will be
Pause only for a moment as you
pass along your way
Remember I was happy then and
my memories stay
For to have made you happy
and to have made you smile
Though only for a short time
has made it all worthwhile
Just put your faith in what you have
don't reach up for the stars
Be happy with the things you have
and stay the way you are
Indeed if sometime in the future your
mind should rest on me
Don't think of what it might have been
it was our destiny you see.

EX – PAT’s LAMENT
Days always filled with sunshine
and blue skies
Were once all I dreamed about
so now tell me why
Wistful thoughts of mist
and grey morning rain
Invade my thoughts and
Dreams time and again
Lush fields of green in
every shade and hue
Lay like patchwork quilts
for all to view
Those rolling hills and valleys
of it’s countryside
Are things I speak of now
with longing and pride
For you can’t compare this
to any other land
The one I left behind my
evergreen England
