ELIZABETH 70 YEARS OUR QUEEN
You were only a young wife and Mother
when you became our Queen
That's when you lost your beloved Father
how hard that must have been
Duty became your destiny and way of life
to which you were never born
But you have never faltered and proudly
kept the vows you'd sworn
To serve the people of our great country
and it's commonwealth too
Following in your father’s footsteps
how proud he would be of you
And as the years unfolded you have
time and time again
Proved to us and to the whole world
how great has been your reign
Yes for 70 years as our Monarch you
have always stayed faithful and true
And I know of nobody in this land who
has worked harder than you
You make me very proud to be British and
so in gratitude I would like to say
Thank you Queen Elizabeth for each one
of your 70 years reign today.

A KING IN WAITING
Although a King in waiting you may well be
You're also a man with foresight who could see
You've spoken out clearly and told us how you feel
Yes, way long before it became a big deal
To talk about climate change and try to relay
What changes we all must make in our lives today
Although many viewed with scorn when you forecast
One day we'd regret how we lived in the past...
You've warned us many times over since 2012
What we must do to save our world and ourselves
You have spoken out and broadcast loud and clear
What you felt about climate change and your fears
Of the kind of world, we would be leaving behind
For the children of today and future mankind
So albeit a King in waiting now you've certainly
Proved that you will be fit for the job eventually.

A Queen's Passing
So many tears have been shed both
openly and unseen
Since the news was broadcast that
we had lost our Queen
I was a young girl in my teens on the
day of her coronation
But I can still clearly remember
the joyous celebrations
She showed the whole world exactly
what a great Monarch should be
As she served our country with
such grace and dignity
For seventy years she did her
duty steadfastly and true
And was due nothing less than
the homage paid to her that's true
As crowds watched in silence as they drove
her from the home she loved the best
It was her people's way of saying "thank
you Ma'am" now be at peace and rest.

MAJESTIC DESTINY
Although you are not a king
in waiting any more
I know there is one thing of
which I am very sure
You would exchange your crown
and all the swans you now own
To have your dear Mama back
sitting upon the throne
However that as you know
is not a possibility
She's left you with the knowledge
of how to reign with dignity
You will I am sure follow her example
and thus bring to your reign
All the things that will be needed to
help make this country great again
And with the love and support of
the woman who has always been
With you in your heart and can now
truly be your Queen.
CORONATION DAY

On the 6th of May the day chosen
for your Coronation
Church bells will ring out loudly
in joyous celebration
You're the longest serving Heir
Apparent there has ever been
Now at last you wear the crown and
beside you stands your Queen
The scenes from the balcony you've
seen many times before
And those chosen to stand with you
will serve you well for sure
Your people nationwide will
celebrate your Coronation Day
When the 8th of May each year
becomes a Bank Holiday.
