YESTERDAY'S TOMORROW
Knowing today is yesterday's tomorrow
Would that help you find the right path to follow
Could looking back on your past with hindsight
Give you the wisdom to choose the path that's right
And would the signposts along that road be so clear
They'd shout out loudly to you "your path lies here"
. You could leave the past behind and forget its sorrows
By accepting that today is only yesterday's tomorrow.

WORDS ON LINE
Oh what joy they've come to mean
Your written words across my screen
For they tell me without a doubt
You took the time to think about
And fit me into your hectic day
Knowing that I simply want to say
THANK YOU
WINDOWS OF MY MIND
Enter the windows of my mind
And tell me of another kind
Of life where living is complete
And no one feels they must compete
Against their partner or best friend
And always there's a happy end
To this and every coming day
For surely this is God's own way.

SUN BEDS, TOWELS, BOOKS AND BAGS

It isn't just a German trait
Getting up early so as not to be late
To lay out our towels books and bags
On the bed of our choice or the best to be had
I've seen for myself and know it to be true
This is exactly what we Brittains do too.
DUSTBIN ETIQUETTE
Dustbin days are not like
they used to be
Now half the work is done
by you and me
We must trundle them out early
on bin day
Their time and motion study
Not to delay
We must sort our rubbish
In coloured bins
Nothing for the wrong colour
Can go in
We now have black, purple,
green and brown
Bins that can be seen around
Our Lincs town
Long gone are the days when
Just the one bin
Was what we all had
To put rubbish in
We’re helping to save the planet
This may be true
Though sometimes I still dream
Of the old days, don’t you?
